From the name – which he changed to “Alighiero e Boetti” – this artist was a continuous play of mirrors. Between the testimonies of family members, art historians and artists, repertoire images and his brightly-coloured works, this documentary covers Boetti’s short and stunning artistic career: his adherence to the Arte Povera movement, the flurry of creative activity in the 1970s that saw the creation of his masterpieces, his success during the 1980s and ‘90s, and the posthumous acknowledgement that put him among the greatest artists.
